High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to complete district-provided training in medication administration and student support.
Ability to supervise and support students with exceptionalities in various settings.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist students as needed with mobility and daily activities.
Previous experience working with students with exceptionalities preferred but not required. Job Goal: The Onward Paraprofessional provides support and supervision for students with exceptionalities. Essential Job Functions:
Safely transport students to and from Johnson County Community College using a district-provided vehicle.
Administer medications as needed in accordance with training and district policy.
Supervise and support students with exceptionalities as they navigate campus, transition between classes, and eat lunch.
Foster student independence, safety, and engagement in the college environment.
Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families regarding student needs and progress. Schedule:
