High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to complete district-provided training in medication administration and student support.

  • Ability to supervise and support students with exceptionalities in various settings.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist students as needed with mobility and daily activities.

  • Previous experience working with students with exceptionalities preferred but not required. Job Goal: The Onward Paraprofessional provides support and supervision for students with exceptionalities. Essential Job Functions:

  • Safely transport students to and from Johnson County Community College using a district-provided vehicle.

  • Administer medications as needed in accordance with training and district policy.

  • Supervise and support students with exceptionalities as they navigate campus, transition between classes, and eat lunch.

  • Foster student independence, safety, and engagement in the college environment.

  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families regarding student needs and progress. Schedule:

  • 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
