Piper Early Childhood Center is seeking a preschool aide for the 2024-2025 school year, beginning in August. Starting wage: $13.27/hour commensurate with education and experience. All interested and qualified candidates are asked to apply as soon as possible. The position is open until filled.

 

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma with additional education preferred
2. Experience working with young people
3. Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Job Goal:

 

To work on a regular basis with students and teachers in an effort to accomplish the goals of the district’s educational program.

 

Essential Job Functions:

1. Planning activities in collaboration with teachers.
2. Assisting teaching faculty in classroom supervision, observation and record keeping.
3. Assist in the administering and scoring a variety of tests according to student performance and behavior.
4. Performs errands and tasks as instructed and as necessary.
5. Confer, as needed, with teachers concerning programs and materials to meet student needs.
6. Under the supervision of the classroom teacher, works with small groups of students to reinforce material .
7. Participate in meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
8. Establishes a supportive relationship with the students in cooperation with the classroom teacher.
9. Follows all Board of Education policies, rules and regulations as applicable.
10. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
