Piper Creek Elementary is seeking an assistant principal for the 2025-2026 school year. Interested applicants should complete the online application and include a letter of interest, current resume, five references (at least one current supervisor) including current contact information, transcripts, and copy of a valid administrative license. Applications will be accepted through July 4, 2025. Interviews will occur on July 10. Applicants being invited to interview will be contacted on or before July 7.
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas Teaching License with building administrator certification at the appropriate grade levels.
- At least 5 years prior teaching experience required.
- Previous administrative experience preferred.
- Special interest in professional development, curriculum, instruction and assessment aspects of educational leadership.
- Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports to: Principal
Supervises: Students and staff members as assigned by principal
Job Goal: To use leadership, supervisory and administrative skills to promote the educational development of each student.
Essential Job Functions:
- Participate in school improvement activities as assigned by the principal.
- Enforce standards of conduct for students.
- Supervise, direct, motivate, and correct employees’ job performance.
- Maintain a safe and orderly school environment.
- Enforce all district policies and regulations.
- Represent the school with the community and its agencies and organizations.
- Assume the principal’s responsibilities in the absence of same.
- Attend to crisis procedures, security procedures.
- Facilitate and supervise collaborative learning communities.
- Work with principal, staff and parents on strategies that assist in continuously improving student achievement and instruction.
- Assist in providing professional leadership to organize, administer, supervise, and evaluate a creative school program.
- Establish an optimal learning environment within the school.
- Ensure all school programs and activities conform to District guidelines.
- Provide a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of students.
- Communicate and work effectively and constructively with members of the school district and community.
- Other duties as assigned by the principal, district administrators or board.
Contract Length: 208 day administrative contract
Salary: $80,000-90,000 commensurate with education and administrative experience
