Piper Creek Elementary has an anticipated opening for a classroom aide for the 2026-2027 school year. Starting wage: $16.20/hour commensurate with education and experience. Position isopen until filled. All interested and qualified candidates are asked to apply as soon as possible.

Job Goal:
The aide assists with instructional activities, student supervision, classroom organization, and the implementation of individual and classroom learning supports.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist the classroom teacher with the delivery of instructional activities.
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce skills and concepts introduced by the classroom teacher.
- Provide academic, behavioral, and organizational support to students as directed.
- Monitor student progress and communicate relevant observations to the classroom teacher.
- Support the implementation of classroom behavior expectations.
- Supervise students in the classroom and during transitions, recess, lunch, arrival, dismissal, field trips, and other school activities as assigned.
- Promote student safety and respond appropriately to student needs and emergencies.
- Assist with classroom organization, including preparing instructional materials, maintaining supplies, organizing student work, and keeping learning areas orderly.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff members, families, and the public.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as required.
- Follow all district policies, building procedures, safety requirements, and directives provided by the supervising teacher and administrator.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher, building administrator, or district administration.

Physical Requirements:
- Regularly stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and move throughout the classroom and school building.
- Frequently transition between sitting and standing and work at student-height tables, desks, and floor-level learning areas.
- Regularly use hands and fingers to handle instructional materials, classroom supplies, technology, and equipment.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Provide physical assistance to students when necessary, consistent with student needs, training, and district procedures.
- Maintain the mobility and stamina necessary to supervise students in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, cafeterias, and other school environments.
- Possess sufficient vision and hearing, with or without reasonable accommodation, to monitor students, read instructional materials, and respond to verbal and nonverbal communication.
- Respond quickly and appropriately during student emergencies, safety concerns, drills, or evacuations.
- Tolerate moderate to high noise levels and frequent interruptions associated with an elementary school environment.
